4 mil sounds good to me.... why would you pay him 6 mil when the word on the street is that G.Jennings is looking for 7-8. if that's the case, sign a top WR and draft another one in the 2nd rd.

There are not many teams where Hartline would have 70 catches and 1000+ yards. Some WR's like Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerlad will have high production no matter where they go, but Hartline would not. Hartline's production is a product of OUR system, and I think other GMs know that, thus lowering his market value. I think we have all the leverage in this negotiation.
    We actually agree on something

I want Hartline back, and can absolutely, positively guarantee, beyond any shadow of any doubt that Tannehill does as well. You guys remember him, the Chosen One, who our future depends on?

If it comes to a million dollar difference to give Tanny his best shot to succeed, who gives a damn? NOT me.

If he isn't gonna budge on that 5-6mill let him test the market and see if he gets what he wants, if not I'm sure the Dolphins will welcome him back with open arms but at the price they veiw he's worth (whatever that is. hopefully not the 5-6mil he's asking for)...

Now I wouldn't be apposed to a 5 mill a year deal that has plenty of incentives in it.

All our free agents are severely over estimating their own worth. Typical of players content with 7 - 9 seasons.

I have been on the hartline bandwagon since we drafted him. I started a thread in 2009 saying he should start and i made a video of his plays at the time.

Anyone else feel Brian Hartline should start?
I feel Hartline could be a Wes Welker type of player. He needs to get on the field, and Ginn should have a reduced #3 or #4 WR role. Bring Ginn in for specific plays, but have Hartline out there catching passes

so i am a fan of his.

BUT 5-6 MILLION A YEAR? BUAHAHAAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell his Agent to stop watching Entourage. Ari Gold can go F himself.

$3 mil a year, tops. If he gets 4 mil a year, we got robbed.

Her's my post from VIP last week.

These are from PFF's Signature Stats on FA to be Hartline, which I found interesting.

Deep Passing- #6- targets of 20 yards or more. Hartine was targeted 25 times, with 12 catch-able balls. Caught 11, with 1 drop.

Drop Rate- #3- he had 79 catch-able balls with 5 drops.

WR Rating- #26- This is a strange stat, where they rank a WR based on the QB rating when thrown to. Tanny was at 84.5.

Yards per Pass Route Run- #14- He had 1083 yards on 521 snaps, tied with Rody White, and a bit ahead of Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, and Dwane Bowe.

In all the above stats, Brian Hartline is up there with all the Big Boys at WR but, only had one TD. I was somewhat surprised on the deep passing. Catching 11 of 12 over 20 yards from a rookie, and no camp or pre-season, is impressive for a slow white guy. JK/LOL.

Does anyone really want to see what he might do in NE in place of Welker in the slot. I sure as hell do not.
