Al Harris WON'T be joining coaching staff

Longtime NFL cornerback Al Harris has a new job: The Chiefs have announced that Harris is their new secondary coach.

He was supposed to join the Dolphins as an assistant defensive backs coach, but obviously he found a team that would put him in charge of the entire unit. He was a Dolphins intern last year.

Sucks, but good for him. Been following Al for a very long time, him being Broward County born and bred straight out of Ely High School in Pompano. He definitely has shown to have the makings of a very solid DB coach.

Good for him. He seems to have his act together and is working hard moving up the ladder. Props to Joe for letting him get a promotion.

But, but, but what about continuity? I thought the whole staff was staying intact for 2013, including the water boy?

I sense some angry sarcasm with this post. Continuity with the coaching staff, something the Dolphins haven't had since 1990 would be a good thing. Obviously they are not returning 100% intact because Fipp left for Philadelphia. Harris was an intern, not an assistant coach, so losing him really doesn't affect the continuity label.
