I didn't care either way, until looking at versions minus the helmet. Now I think we need the helmet, as margin for error.
Minus the helmet, all the spotlight is on the shape and appearance of the dolphin. If it's too long or too mean or with a poorly angled tail, or not the best color, that's all you notice. The helmet acts as a softening or distractive device.
If I trusted this regime to make the correct call, I'd gamble on no helmet. But since I know their track record and value system, we better stick with the lid.
If I had to guess, I'd say the helmet will be gone.
