False, in 08 he had 6 games w/ 0-1 catches in a game. 3 out of 5 seasons these numbers hold up. You lose.

You would lose that bet DD. Last year- 6, 2011- 3, 2010- 2.

I had to go back and check your stats, seeing as you lied or over looked 08.

So he avgs 5+ games a season of doing absolutely nothing. Funny how you had to latch onto a quip to try to make a point.

3 out of 5 seasons gives more credence to my argument than anything you can bring to the table. Eventually, people have to realize, Fasano is who he is. He is consistent at disappearing games at a time, season after season. You may think that is what wins games. I don't. Give Tannehill a playmaker, a threat. Not some tree trying to run routes.

Now, you're becoming annoying. I do NOT lie, and those are the stats from PFF.

Regardless, your bet was SIX, NOT 5+, and you lose. Do the math. LOL, and then some.

I think Cook or Finley as the #1 TE and Fasano as the #2 TE on the team would give us a great pass and run tandem at TE.

More and more teams are starting to focus on two TE sets.

No one can say Fasano is garbage. There is alot of value of having him on the field. When you run the ball, he's as good a blocker as some offensive linemen, plus he can catch. Do we need an athletic upgrade at TE? Of course. Personally, i'd like Clay to eventually have the blocking ability to cement himself at fullback. His route running out of the backfield would be awesome, and Philbin has readily professed his desire to pass as much as possible.

But Anthony Fasano is no pushover. He does everything well, nothing spectacular, but if he does walk..you can bet that a power running team like SF or the Ravens would snatch him up.

Here's the rundown between the two.

    Cook- # 34 overall, caught 44 of 68 for 11.8 average, 5 TD's and 5 drops.

    Fasano- #23 overall, caught 41 of 62 for 8.1 average, 5 TD's, and 0 drops.

    2011

    Cook- #31 overall, caught 49 of 74 for 15.5 average, 3 TD's, and 3 drops.

    Fasano- #7 overall,caught 32 of 45 for 14.1 average, 5 TD's, and 1 drop.

Hmmm, I have to give Fasano an overall edge here, and chances are he will not cost as much.
The question isn't Fasano or Cook the statement should be Fasano and Cook! That would be a formidable TE tandem if Jeff could manage both contracts along with the other team needs.

Agree but, do not see the dollars making sense for both. I think the seam buster we need may have to come from Clay or Egnew this year.
