Who has more overall value to this team?

Cook and it's not even close. Is this a serious thread? Fasano is garbage, a second tight end at best. He's your typical ground and pound tight end that Sparano loves. The only tight end more athletic than Cook is Davis. Cook is a seam threat tight en and very explosive that has played with some very ****ty quarterbacks in Tennessee.

Finley isn't a FA. We would have to trade for him.
True, but it's been widely rumored he's on his way out in Green Bay, so I'm not sure the cost would be that high. That's definitely a mark against him, though.

Yeah, I do feel sorry for Cook in not having the same benefits as Fasano at QB and OC's.

Here's the rundown between the two.

    Cook- # 34 overall, caught 44 of 68 for 11.8 average, 5 TD's and 5 drops.

    Fasano- #23 overall, caught 41 of 62 for 8.1 average, 5 TD's, and 0 drops.

    2011

    Cook- #31 overall, caught 49 of 74 for 15.5 average, 3 TD's, and 3 drops.

    Fasano- #7 overall,caught 32 of 45 for 14.1 average, 5 TD's, and 1 drop.

Hmmm, I have to give Fasano an overall edge here, and chances are he will not cost as much.
Brother imagine if they played on the same team.

IMO the trade value will be high because reports at the end of the season read that GB had grown fond of him again so it would take more compensation than we think. But hey, I would consider a low 2 or one of our 3's to give for him. We certainly won't find a better player in the draft and you know what you are getting with Finley.

we do need an upgrade but we do need Fasano here as well.lets hope he does not demand major $ if he stays around what he made last year we would be smart to keep him

Agree. With Fasano and Clay all we need is one playmaking TE to go with them. That TE can come by trade, FA, or draft ... I don't care as long as we find him.

You are not trading a low 2nd or high 3rd for Jared Cook come on guys. Personally, I like my TE to have a blocker in him, so I'm all on the Martellus Bennett train. I think 2 years 9 million with 7 or so guaranteed gets him here.

I'm a fan of his seam ability. I like his inline blocking. I view him like a more athletic Fasano.

I agree that Fasano is more of a well rounded second TE but I definitely wouldn't call him garbage. Cook has been underused in Tennessee for sure. Henne is thrown into the equation when you bring up QB play. Not sure that works in your favor

I said I would give a 2 or 3 for Finley, not Cook.
