Breaking Celtics confirm Rajon Rondo has torn ACL, out for the season

An MRI on Sunday confirmed the Celtics’ fears. Rajon Rondo has a torn right ACL and is officially done for the rest of the season, reports A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN New England.

Huge loss for them. I think they will still make the playoffs, but it would only be as a 7-8 seed.

Don't get me wrong, the loss of Rondo is huge to their team. As a Sixers fan, I'm still holding hope that they can overtake Boston for that spot, especially when Bynum comes back. I heard he should come back a little after the All Star break.

Sucks for Boston. One less team that had any chance at beating Miami. Great.
