Any good UM rookies?

Are there any good U.M. players coming out? This last season for them was bad but they always have speedy play makers, something we need desperately.

Plus wasn't it mentioned that there would be a strong push by the Dolphins organization to scout U.M. players?

He's a solid power running back option. Good third down back.

But I'm more than happy with Javorski Lane. We don't have a need for Mike James.

I love Brandon McGee's speed. Then again, who wouldn't. He'll be one of the fastest guys at the NFL combine without question. And with the way the rules are now slanted in favor of offenses, you need guys in the secondary with a boatload of speed. Defensive backs are having to alter the way they defend wide receivers due to rule changes. Best way to do that is with speed. You need guys who can shift their hips and get moving in a different direction quickly. That's one reason why I pay a lot of attention to the three cone drill at the NFL combine. Recovery speed is important as well and Brandon has a great deal of that. Recovery speed is what makes Cromartie so successful.

Brandon's problem is that he was poorly coached at Miami. Then again, a lot of recent Miami players were and still are poorly coached. Once they get to the NFL, they still have all of the talent that they had coming out of high school, it's just that the awful coaches at Miami couldn't use it properly. In the NFL, they'll tap into that talent and get the most of it. Take a look at a guy like Sam Shields. Sam couldn't do anything at Miami except use his speed to be a gunner on punt coverage. Now he's a starter for the Packers and makes a solid contribution on gameday. It's all due to solid coaching at the NFL level.

McGee wouldn't be a bad selection if you can get the right value for him.

On another note, how in the hell did Jacory Harris total -219 yards rushing in 2009? Did he run backwards every play?

Peyton Manning's worst rushing season was -13 yards....how does Peyton freakin Manning have more rushing yards in 1 season than Jacory's whole collegiate career?

Mike James is a 6th-7th rounder. We do have a need for a back like him provided Reggie isn't brought back. Daniel Thomas is horrible & can't stay healthy. Mike James can match his pass protection & can do everything else well, not spectacular, too.
