I definitely think he will prove to be. IMHO, Tannehill has better accuracy than almsot all of those guys and in time he will prove to be an elite passer. The Dolphins are in a great position with a good offensive coaching staff and QB to build an excellent offense. I wasn't sure what to make of the selection, because in college he was inconsistent, but in his rookie year, he has shown an uncanny ability to put the ball consistently where he wants it to be. Once he has receivers who can create separation and he can open things up and just throw it more, I think we will see a tremendous offense.

FYI, I'm not sure most people realize that even with our bad WR corps that Tannehill threw for more yardage last season than everyone on that list not named Andrew Luck. He also has the 3rd highest yardage game from a rookie QB in history, 1 yard behind the record that Cam Newton set last year, and 2 yards behind the new record that Andrew Lucks set this year.

Yeah, Tannehill actually did some good things. I think the TD's will be dramatically improved next year when he has better targets, and the INT's really didn't reflect his ball placement as many of them were ricochets off WR/TE hands or batted at the line of scrimmage. Not saying the batted passes aren't his fault ... just that they are not inaccurate throws. He consistently placed the ball where it couldn't be intercepted and that will show more noticably next year I suspect.

I think I completely get your point, but I do hope he plays well enough to be considered one of the best.
