he's missing more things than he ever used to...i totally agree his play is showing signs...but they're small ones...

in 2 years we'll have the best qb in the division...yeah i said it...
The question is what is causing it? Is it age or something else, I remember scoffing at the notion of Manning's arm strength becoming an issue and guys like Jaws were piling that on by watching film while guys like Edwards laughed at the notion...............blam the neck gave out and everyone thought he was done.

So my question is it age or something else taking its toll.....if it is an underlying issue Brady could be done sooner rather than later. If it is just father time, he has some good years left in him.

Bardy may be on a decline but he is still elite and probably will be until he retires considering how great his o-line is.

imo it's father time...and it waits for no one...he may have some underlying shoulder or arm issue that is flaring up i know he's on the injury reports every week these days for something...just all that contact and use catching up...

he never used to bounce throws and be errant accuracy wise on guys wide open...and we are seeing more and more of that...as far as his football mind and decision making there is no drop off...he still sees the game like a maestro...it's a physical thing...

at the same time though it's not enough yet for us to get excited about...he's not gonna just fall off the table...what likely will happen is he'll start to get hurt more and miss time...more nagging stuff that limits him...
hoops scoops...prospects mia should target top 4 rounds 2013 draft...

Time catches up to everyone. Of course he is declining as he enters his mid 30s. It's just natural. Still a great, great player and I think he will continue to be an all pro player for at least 2 or 3 years.

It seems like this is a knee-jerk reaction to them losing the AFCCG. I can also see him playing for another 2-3 years - maybe longer.

To me it's a combination of a physical decline because of age and the game passing him by. In the AFCCG, a play that stood out to me indicative of this is on a 4th and 4 late in the 4th qtr.

Brady stepped up to the left and could have run for the 1st down by outrunning Ngata but instead decided to throw it to a well covered receiver. The throw was a grounder as well. He was never a good running qb but as smart as he is in the past he would have run for the 1st. Brady looked "old" and "obsolete" to me on that play. This past year's draft class ( Luck, RG III, Tannehill, Wilson) all could have easily run for the 1st in that case. The 2 Superbowl qbs both could have easily run for the 1st. Do you see a trend here? The regular season is one thing and Brady is still one of the top qbs in the league but when push comes to shove as in the playoffs, Brady's lack of mobility is slowly becoming more and more of a liability in today's game.

Perhaps the game has started to take a physical toll but mentally, he's a strong as ever. I still think he is the best QB in the league and may be next year as well. I think 2-3 years and he will reach the end.

What worries me is the pats actually getting a good qb behind the helm. I have never thought of brady being an elite qb. I consider him a really good qb in one of the beat situations in fb. If they actually get an elite qb, we will have many more years of pain.
