I've been saying for a long time now, he is one of the 3 guys I'd really target for FA. Jennings, Levitre, or Vollmer ... I really think that those are our top choices at each position. If we land Jennings we might still have enough cap space to bring in Levitre. If we land Wallace (who will command 11M per year) then I doubt we'll be able to add either OL.
Levitre is a perfect fit. His forte is pass blocking, and in Philbin's offense, that's the emphasis. He could slide into the LG spot if we lost Long (because Martin is going to need a LOT of help), or the RG spot if we keep Long. Either way, his presence would really help an OL that has some serious holes. We already spend a lot on our OL ... so it would be very nice to swap out Jerry for Levitre if we're remaking it.
I've been calling for this since the season ended. Levitre is a better guard than Long is a LT. I think his loss will devastate the Bills as well so yea Double Whammie.
Actuall I want the Quadruple Whammie by signing Volmer too.
Let Long, Bush, Smith and Hartline walk, cut Patterson @ Marshall. That'll leave enough cash for a top flight WR and Corner in FA.

How old is this guy 25 26 max? I would lock him up till he sees the north side of 30. Absolutley a no brainer. He is a perfect fit and absolute stud at LG. Plus like many of you have said by moving incog to the right side he gets to play a more natural position to him thus only making that side of the line better!

Johnathan Martin at left tackle is a disaster waiting to happen. He gets pancaked by defensive backs. At right tackle he could at least use his athleticism a bit more and pull on run plays and stuff. If you need to protect a QB though, J-Mart is NOT your man. I can't take the Dolphins seriously if they think J-Mart is their starting LT.
i doubt levitre is in play for us...i don't know buffalos cap situation but i'm also doubting they let him walk...
as for moving cog to the right guard where his mauling straight ahead style fits better...DUH...been saying that for years

I would love to see him in a phins uni, but you would think the Bills wanna keep him..we may have to break the bank to get him.
They are reporting that buffalo is not expected to resign him. With our cap room it would be retarded not to. Jeff loves offensive lineman, he fits the scheme and he is young. I dont see us not pulling the trigger on this one. Who wouldnt want to take their talents to south beach?
