I always find it interesting that when it appears that gun control legislation doesn’t work (as is apparent by the murder rates in Chicago), then all of the sudden Liberals believe that violence is a complex phenomenon that has multiple causes and driving forces, but when they are advocating gun control legislation they pretend that guns are the only issue and if we just crack down on gun ownership violence will automatically reduce. It’s a classic case of playing the game by two different sets of rules.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the Center for American Progress’ Christie Hefner said that Chicago’s sky-high murder rate could be blamed — at least in part — on climate change.

If more people stayed inside all the bullets flying around wouldn't hit them. ****ers should learn to get the **** out of the way of all those bullets flying around anyway, don't they know bullets love to work on their tan. Swimsuit season is just around the corner so bullets have to spend more time outside now therefore duh......it is now safer inside.

Well as I am sure you are aware, one of the biggest political topics of the season is gun control legislation. Many advocates of tighter gun laws claim it will lower violence; however Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the nation and yet has seen a spike in its already appalling murder rate over the last year. However, rather than admitting tighter gun control laws don’t help reduce violence, some Liberals are now blaming the increase in violence on the weather, which they claim is unseasonably warm due to climate change (they seem to forget that many cities have much warmer weather than Chicago and yet have nothing close to the murder rate that Chicago possesses). Does that help any?

No. How is a city law supposed to stop a nationwide problem? Dry counties have the same sorts of issues.
