Smack Mike Sherman Will Hold Tannehill Back

I seriously believe that Mike Sherman will stop T-hill from succeeding because he will not expose him to all of the elements of being a all round QB. Sherman is still trying to run that Texas A&M stuff which is good for Tannehill but it doesn't fool many defenses in the NFL. Earlier on in the season when Tannehill was struggling it wasn't I don't think because of the rookie wall, it was bexcause T-hill had a predetermined exit plan when things went bad(throw it out of bounds kid) but we as fans found out that T-hill is a pretty good athelete and he can make things happen with he feet but sherman being and old guard type of coach didn't want to expose T-hill to unecessary hits. This will go as far as T-hill development can take it, he will have to redefine what type of QB he is is he david woodley or dan marino, we the fans will never know as long as mike Sherman is the OC.

is this the same qb people thought could sit for 1-3 years possibly because he was so raw?
Waiting on the Fins and their fans to realize you need to score points to win the games. Draft OFFENSE not defense.

This worries me too. Sherman better have new plays and be willing to change. When Tony was the coach he busted out the wild cat and had surprises in year 1. Unfortunately he ran the same crap the other 3 years and didn't change or adjust one bit. The offensive coordinator needs to grow if Tannehillis expected to grow.

Sherm is an excellent play caller. Many more issues besides him. Next.

The primary issue I had with Sherman is that he did not call as many pass plays on first down (or at least it seems) where it is a better passing situation for the QB. Otherwise, it is hard to judge Sherman for the same reasons it is to gauage Tannehill. No speed recievers or TE; inconsistent blocking up front.

I don't follow college football, but didn't Texas A&M do better AFTER Sherman left? If so, then Sherman is responsible for recruiting good players, but is not very good at running an offense or team. Yes, Miami lacked a #1 WR this year, but Sherman could not figure out how to compensate for that. Miami's offense was pathetic, and that's being kind. IMO, Sherman does not know how to gameplan to the strengths of his players... it seems like he only knows one way to run an offense, and if the players don't fit it, he runs it anyway. As claytonduper stated above, almost every 1st down was a running play; the defenses knew this and easily stopped it. Sherman is a failure at making half-time and 4th quarter adjustments. I looked at the 3rd and 4th quarter scoring of every game, and there were a lot of games where Miami was only able to score just one FG or TD in the entire second half! He needs to retire.

I think it's really hard to judge Sherman on this past season. He had almost nothing to work with. An O-line built for a different scheme (save for Pouncey and Martin), the worst WR group in the NFL, a feature back that dances way too much, and a rookie QB. Given what he had to work with, I'm impressed that we weren't last in every category.

We finished ahead of teams with much better weapons.
