Whoa there bud. I like the Daily Show. Id choose Jon Stewart to give me the news, before pretty much anyone else. Not too mention he's brilliant in my opinion.

It's Stewart's commentary that is funny, not the tiny bit of news on the show. It's like Fox or CNN but with better writers. The shtick can be found in almost any stand up comedy routine - take a story, present a portions of it in such a way that makes it seem asinine and then make jokes without regard to the entire story.
Viewing the Daily Show for news is like reading the chapter titles of a novel and believing you could give an accurate summary of it.
