I agree, but keeping the integrity of the defense while finding a way of getting more turnovers is also necs.

oooh, very sexy combination. Doubt Eifert lasts until our 2a though. Perhaps Ertz will, but if Gonzalez retires, then they're both gone by 2a.

because IMO we need more than that.
I thought the article said two or THREE playmakers and then especially TWO WRs, so not sure what you're referring to there, pete.

IMHO..
I think we are 1 GM away from being a legitimate playoff team. I will be shocked if our current GM makes the needed play maker additions with our picks.
I really hope Philbin takes a dominant role in player selection. Since the GM is not going anywhere, that is our only hope.
We need another speed rusher opposite Wake that also be solid in the running game. That should be our top priority in the first round.
In rounds 2-3, we need to address WR, and DB. Round 4-5, another big back to replace DT and another OG.
Also, we need to resign our FA's including Long and Hartline. Creating new holes each year is taking one step forward, two steps back.
Miami should sign Bowe and Jennings....then draft some CBs and a te. Good to go.
The entire premise of this thread is a joke. A dispassionate analysis of this year's playoffs show that teams must be able to score between 35 and 40 points a game in order to beat the best teams in the league. And this isn't 35 to 40 points against teams that can't play defense, this is 35 to 40 points against the best teams in the league. The Dolphins are twenty points a game short of this level.
So what do we realistically need to compete at the Super Bowl level:
a. Two new wide receivers who can between them score two touchdowns a game.
b. A new seam busting tight end who is good for a touchdown a game.
c. A rework of our offensive line. Jerry and Incognito don't fit our system and must be replaced. Long will be too expensive to afford.
d. An additional pass rusher to go with Cam Wake.
e. Two new cornerbacks who can both cover and intercept the ball.
f. At least one new linebacker who is a disruptive playmaker.
So, in my opinion, we are realistically six players on offense and four players on defense away from having the talent required to win a Super Bowl. This isn't going to be fixed this year in the draft and it won't be fixed in free agency either.
