I disagree with any plan that has us bringing Hartline back.
    This.

We don't get Hartline, Wallace, and a 1st round WR.

Hartline is Wallace but with a little less speed. I say we're gonna get Jennings (or Wallace), draft a WR in the 2nd (to compliment our star WR whether being Route running or speed), and grab Ryan Swope to make up for the connection lost with Hartline.

I'm completely against re-signing Hartline for ''reportedly" what he wants.
He is a guy we can replace through the draft easily imho. I mean what has he really done for us that another mid-round draft pick cannot?
I'm not saying Hartline is useless. Just that he's easily replaceable, relatively speaking of course.

Wallace is definitely not worth what he will be getting. Not even close. We need a guy that can help us in the redzone first. Turn these damn fg's into td's.
Neither Hartline or Wallace are capable of that.
Imo we should draft our 2 starters at wr.
Don't waste money over guys like Hartline/Sean Smith, etc, even if it bumps us down a tad short term, these 2 guys are the epitome of the guys we need to cut bait on.

Replace production with points works but the 3 guys you mentioned are not options. A declined special-teams player? Blazing receiver who just happens to be injury prone? A slot receiver who almost died from his injuries last year? C'mon. Maybe Domenik Hixon. Getting rid of Hartline is also getting rid of experience, something that a rookie receiver isn't going to come and provide.
I see what your saying bout those guys but it was just an example of what im talking about. There are a few guys out there that can come in and produce what hartline has done for less money. If not you grab Wallace in FA and draft Allen and Baliey or something like that and call it a day. I think both those rookies could score more TDs then Hartline did the last 3 years in thier rookie seasons.

I think your domain name suits your comment!! He was the only playmaker on an under .500 team. I offer him something around 4-5 million and throw in some incentives...So based upon your logic - we sign two of a combo of Bowe-Jennings-Wallace for roughly 18-20 mil per season and these guys werent the receivers Hartline was this past year - check the statistics- Thank god you are not the GM of this team - ireland may have some issues but thank god he is not that stupid - They have routinely stressed that they will spend a bit of their money but will build a lasting team through the draft. I think we add one WR(Jennings), an OL(Livitre), a CB(Cox) and TE(Bennett or Cook) in free agency, and the rest of the playmakers come from the draft.
Im on the dont resign Hartline waggon but i dont think we sign two FA WRs either. I would kill to grab those four guys in FA that you mentioned in the end. Hell if we grabbed 3 of them (cox, cook, levitre) and drafted 2 WRS i would be thrilled with that.... or Wallace/Jennings, cox and cook and got OL in the draft ill be even happier. But i honestly think we may only get one of the 4 guys

    What Everyone wants:

    Go Get Jennings or Wallace

Go draft a receiver either in the first or second round

What would Prevent this from happening:

Signing Hartline - If you sign Hartline for decent money for 4-5 years, you're not going to draft a receiver that early to split snaps with him for 4-5 years

    What Should Ultimately Be Done:

Go Get Jennings or Wallace, whoever you feel better about

Draft your favorite receiver either in the first or second round

Sign another FA that can play, to split snaps with the rookie while he develops, someone along the lines of Boldin for 2 years, maybe Ramses Barden, etc.

    You've indirectly started it already.
