Honestly, to date (Only 25 years old).

The best all around Super Bowl halftime show I can remember was in 2001 with Aerosmith, Britney Spears and N'Sync.

I thought it was a good mix of different generas and was more centered on the music and singing rather than putting on a dance production.

Wouldn't mind seeing another colaboration of big time artists again. No more of this single act shows.

    Maybe, Lady Gaga...Metallica...Drake combo.

I would not count out The Boss (Bruce Springstein) for next year; but if they want to get a little more modern Jay Z is a strong possibility.
I was thinking Jay-Z had a decent shot as well, but mixed in with a big named rock & roll artist and they do a collabo ala Jay-Z/Linkin Park.

That would actually be a pretty interesting combo . . . though Drake is a terrible performer from what I have seen on TV and in concert.

Maybe not for New York as I love the Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel ideas, but U2 needs to do the Super Bowl at some point. Talk about longetivity and their music spans just rock fans to music fans.

U2 Performed in 2002 Super Bowl, the 9/11 tribute. Maybe its the new generation but I just can't get into U2

as much as I agree classic rock would be good, the worst halftime shows in recent memory where the classic rock shows. the who and tom petty both I had high hopes for, and both I was disasppointed. My favorite in recent memory was prince, very entertaining. We need an entertainer, it's a shame Justin timberlake pulled the boob out because he's an entertainer. maybe usher would be good.

if I'm thinking modern rock, I'm thinking foo fighters would be a good get.

The Who was embarrassing and probably ruined it for the classic rock choices. There are a few out there from the late 70's & 80's that can still bring it. I'm thinking REO Speedwagon and Styx.
