If we got two (2) 3rd rounders for Marshall, why does Miamis draft show only two 3rd round picks? If we got two (2) from Chicago for BM, we should have a total of three (3) 3rd round picks. Have we already used a third? I do not understand.

Miami got a 2012 3rd round pick and a 2013 3rd round pick. We already used the first one.
Miami drafted Vernon and Egnew in the 3rd round last year.

Thanks Nub.

You are welcome, any time. Not sure though why some of our members gave you a thumbs down for thanking me, but whatever.

To clarify, so no one is misled and so that nothing is misrepresented, the drafting of Vernon in 2012 is irrelevant to this discussion. Egnew, who won't make the team in 2013, was the first third rounder that Miami got for all-pro Brandon Marshall. Miami has one third rounder available to have anything to show for trading Marshall.
Miami passed on local product TY Hilton to draft Egnew, who will end his Miami career with zero catches. He was referred to as a "p*ssy" by a teammate in a Miami Herald report.

Technically Miami didn't use the exact 3rd round pick they got from the Bears on Egnew. The Dolphins actually traded that pick.

Dont go stating silly facts and raining on the debbie downers.
Interesting to come to this thread and learn that egnew will no longer be with the team next year as well??!!
Yea well, he had a horrible rookie year, and we all know never has an NFL player ever come back from a horrible rookie year. -sarcasm off-
