I really appreciate what Steven Jackson brings to the table, but he's considering retirement and I'm not sure we want to take a bite of a guy with that kind of mileage who has to be convinced out of retiring.
Who I really want, is Mike Goodson from the Oakland Raiders. One of the NFL's best kept secrets. Won't be expensive, but there may also be more of a market for him than you'd think. I won't be the only one that has noticed him develop.
Some will suggest there's bad blood between he and Mike Sherman. That really isn't the case. The relationship didn't go as well as the two had hoped in 2008 but they've never been on bad terms and ultimately when Goodson left for the NFL early rather than stay another year with Sherman at Texas A&M, it was because of family financial problems. His dad had just got thrown in jail and he needed to earn money for his family.
