GM Ireland: "We have a clear vision"

Ireland ....talks about having a clear vision for the off-season to help this team and plans to be active in all avenue ...realizes that team needs "PLAYMAKERS" for Tannehill ...who can score TD's. I guess Ireland finally realizes that this could be he's last chance...and plans to go all out. With 47 mil under the cap and 5 picks in the first 3 rounds....I just hope... he doesnt F this up.

Im pretty sure in Ireland's mind he has had a clear plan for the dolphins since 2008, only problem none of those plans have worked. In the immortal words of Mike tyson, everyone has a plan until they are punched in the face.

Im not quite certain what article or interview your refering to in general, but if its this one then you forgot to add a part:

With $46 million in cap space and nine draft picks, Ireland's next task becomes building an offense around Tannehill.

"It is important that we add playmakers," Ireland said Tuesday,

. "Ryan is one-eleventh of the offense. We've got to get some other players that can help him.

"We've got to get him help," he went on. "Maybe it's (O-line) help. We've got to score TDs. That's what we didn't do enough of."

I will remember you TeddSlimmJr and Spesh, after we win it all, I'll just sit back and laugh with fond memories of my superior football IQ.

Well our offensive line DOES need help. We need to draft a guard, and probably sign a veteran tackle to start at the right side (since i assume we won't bring back Jake, we're not going to pay 10 million). It's sad that all these years we're still trying to fix that mess.

Our offensive line is important too, but it should be GOOD enough, we don't need to spend elite money on it. And we definitely shouldn't be wasting a skill position for blocking purposes. Having Fasano out there is like having a sixth linemen in every snap, all he's good for is blocking. We need playmaking ability from our tight ends not blocking, and that won't happen unless we patch some of the holes we got at both guard positions and tackle.

I am so relieved that he has a vision.
It is like watching a car pull onto railroad tracks, hearing the train whistle, and knowing what is going to happen next...
I hope Philbin is in his ear...

This team will make big strides this offseason with all the ammunition Ireland has. This is going to be one of the most exciting offseasons in recent Dolphins history. Go Dolphins!

This is just like he realized we needed WR's in the preseason...what did that get us?

Im with you Nubs. I cant wait to see the lack of remarks from the debbie downers when Ireland brings in a boatload of talent on offense.

Right now there are only 2 positions set in stone on offense IMHO. QB and Center. Every other spot is open to either guys currently on the roster or players that are brought in.
