I know. Why not just take the defenses off the field all together. That way nobody gets hurt and it will be high scoring.
Other ideas to lessen injury risk: shorten game time to 57 minutes, players wear 5 lb. ankle weights, 4 inch minimum grass length, only 7 defensive players allowed to tackle ball carrier.

Reggie Bush would be the Reggie Bush of USC if the field expands like that. College football has wide hash marks and USC always made sure to get Reggie running on the widest side of the field.
