FA What if We Strike Out on All Three WR?

I know we have all the cap room needed. And everyone here just assumes that we will lock down one of the "Big Three" WR...Wallace, Jennings, or Bowe. And as much as anyone, I believe we will.

    But what if we don't?

There is speculation about Wallace to Cleveland. Jennings to Minnesota. Bowe to...well, who knows. But he's a bit of a headcase, so anything could happen there. He may not even leave KC.

What then? What happens if on Week 1, we line up Brian Hartline and a rookie WR as our starters. Do we improve at all? I know there are a ton of variables, and TE is one that could make a huge difference...but what happens to the mood on FH if after week 1 of FA, the big name guys are gone, and we've only re-signed Hartline - or worse yet, we don't...and have nobody but second tier guys. Again.

I ask it because it's a distinct possiblity. What is the backup plan?

32 teams. 3 receivers. Anything can happen.

If we do then tough titty. We missed out on Peyton Manning last year and that seems to be for the best in my opinion.

IF not one of the top 3 WRs then one of the top 3 TEs. We will sign someone that can score.

I'd make that list 4 WR's considering Percy Harvin is all but done in Minnesota. With that said, I agree with the poster above, if we don't get a big name WR, we'll get a Finley, Keller, Cook, etc. We have too much money available to not get at least one playmaker in FA.

That's a really good question. We would have to sign the best TE in FA, then draft 2 WR within our first four picks.

For this scenario, I would draft Codarelle Patterson and Markus Wheaton.

If we strike out on all 3 FA WR, then the FO will try to paint the picture that they didn't really want any of them. Some people will believe that, some people won't. As usual, chaos on FH will ensue.

If we strike out but sign Hartline and draft a WR (assuming rd 1 or 2 since u said starter) we would improve. that would give RT 3 targets instead of two at WR with Bess in the fold. But, i still believe we need to sign one of the 3 and draft a wr at least in rd 2. we need weapons for Tannehill. TWO touchdowns from our WRs will not cut it, ever!

Terrifying prospect in my opinion (in regards to the OP)

Just researched the much talked about Markus Wheaton

Does it not scare anyone else that this guy NEVER sees press coverage? No thanks on Markus Wheaton.
