I don't know any person would be upset that others are going to make more money unless your a bussiness owner...places like walmart pay their employees **** and tell them to go on welfare. The fed minimum wage is ****...no one can live on it..so ppl go get food stamps and Medicaid..Obama is trying to lessen the burden on tax payers and put it on the private sectors...its the cost of doing bussiness..sorry you can't fill up ur yacht with premium gas all the time...sure some goods will go up in price but if companies are paying their employees in a responsible fashion the rise would be marginal...this can hurt small businesses but that only hurts one persons income and helps way more...someone loses a little to help alot of ppl. Nothing wrong with that.

You don't seem to have any concept of how the private sector works. Companies can only charge what consumers will pay. There's no magic pot of gold or money tree that the owner can use to get additional money to pay workers. The business must make enough money to pay for rent, materials, supplies, wages, insurance, taxes, taxes and more taxes, and then have some left over for the person/people who have everything at stake - the owner.

The government could help offset the costs of increase wages by reducing taxes and regulations ... but they won't because helping people is not their goal. Prosperous people who are not reliant on others tend to think more independently. This is not about making people prosperous. This is about increasing dependency and their voter base.
