That would be generous of Hartline to sign for that price.

I wouldn't cut Carpenter for Hopkins until Hopkins or whomever shows that he can atleast kick with the most accurate kicker in team history.

Trufant at 12? We could probably get him in round 2. Come on!

A lot of deals in Miami's favor. I don't see that many contracts being Dolphins friendly.

We're not a desired destination like NE or Denver with Super Star QBs and will be competing for a Super Bowl (for sure) in 2013.

Seems like the type of crappy conservative off season Ireland would put together. We solve our offensive problems by re singing Hartline and signing 2 players that are washed up and devastated by injuries? And we don't address pass rush until pick #54. Boo.
I like Jennings, but with his injuries the last 2 years there's no way you can pay him 8 mil a year and rely on him to be the #1. We should sign Wallace, let Hartline go and draft two wideouts if we can't land both Wallace and Jennings. I want no part of Ahmad Bradshaw at this point, and we need to address DE in FA w/ Michael Johnson or Cliff Avril, or draft one in round 1 where a stud like Ansah, Mingo, Jordan or Jarvis Jones should be there. I would be disappointed but not surprised by this suggested off season.

I agree with your take on Jennings and I'd like us to get Wallace. The part where I diverge from your opinion is letting go of Hartline until we have a solid for #2 receiver in place.

IMO we can't do what you and many others have criticized Ireland for doing with BM - letting go of what you have without a replacement plan. You can say all you want about Hartline's numbers being disappointing in terms of getting in the endzone but there is no guarantee if we let him go that we will actually get someone better to take his place. We can't afford to be PO'd at Hartline because he wasn't a number #1 that we wanted at the expense of not using him as #2 without a better player in place.

I'm with you on the signings of Bradshaw and most of the other past-their-prime players - let's pass.

Why is Egnew even on that roster?

Trufant can be had in the 2nd.
"The dolphins, which had been cavorting in the surf all along, showed up then. They circled him, keeping the shark at bay, and enabled Endris to get back on his board and catch a wave to the shore."
