No, Marshall was traded for two draft picks. What the team does with those picks after the trade is a totally different situation. In fact the Dolphins didn't even use the pick they got from the Bears in 2012, they traded it to San Diego.

As for Reggie Bush, I am going to be sad to see him leave, but it hasn't happened yet so it is premature to conclude that the team has already "let him walk". As of today Bush is still under contract with the Dolphins and that won't change before March 12th. As for his future status with the team we can not be 100% sure that is is going to walk or not. Lamar Miller showed a lot of promise in his limited playing time last year and he is a lot younger and cheaper than Reggie Bush. Sucks that Bush might leave, but it is probably a good football decision not to tie up big money in the running back position. If he can come back for a team friendly deal, I absolutely want him back.
    This.

There are certain players that I like to watch. But, I don't "fall in love" with players anymore. It's about what's best for our MIAMI DOLPHINS ... and if that's not Reggie, then it's not Reggie.

Tannehill struggled to get the ball downfield or in the end zone when he didn't have a clean pocket and was getting pressured constantly. Its not Ryan's fault we still have oline problems. But when Bush struggles to get yardage on the inside, it's because he dances in the hole, he's a mediocre RB, he's not an every down back.

im not saying he's perfect anymore than Tannehill is, but he's a massively talented and hardworking guy, who's demands on the team are unlikely to be excessive. Our transition to the zone scheme didn't help him - we had LBs pouring throughout the bigger gaps and our new tackle struggling with the power of the NFL. Longs travails are well enough known.

of course he's less crucial to our progress than Tannehill, but don't tell me he couldn't be a big rushing and receiving playmaker for us with a better oline and a more settled, diverse passing offense.

Personally, I'd keep Bush and Miller, cut/trade Thomas and let Lane and Grey duke it out for short yardage carries.

Bush is a class act. That said he is way overrated on this board, and more then a few times put the Fins in 2 and 13's because he tried to break the big run instead of taking the 2-3 yrd gain.

    Bush really isnt that good.
He's much better than Hartline as far as offensive ability, scoring touchdowns, and overall impact goes and people here want to give Hartline 5-6 million per year.

Bush is the only playmaker we have and the only one that actually scores. I don't get why we wouldn't bring him back.

Bush was here before Philbin. Philbin is building a team the way he likes to see his team hum.

Part of that is pass pro blocking. Another is goaline and short yardage situations. We dont have that right now. With Bush, you could find ways to get into the endzone, but in the end, and this is just my take on what Philbin has said, is that we need to have guys who can do the whole spectrum of jobs required to be successful.

might i suggest stepfan taylor in rd. two or three? go check out his highlights. he is a perfect fit. and he could room with his buddy Martin. One big happy family.

If Bush leaves here, he leaves a good legacy. I defer to our coaches/GM on the matter as i feel they are more trustworthy as a group than any in the past ten years. I like Bush, but i think he has lost a step and does not project to be helpful to this young team for any meaningful length of time.
He showed he can run between the tackles, i enjoyed watching him prove that to everyone.
