He is hardly "blowing up the combine" he wasnt even the best TE in the tests. Efiert has been impressive for years draft him on how good his tape is rather than the fact he ran fast in a straight line

Think about that for a second
New England scored 557 points last season(with Gronk missing 5 games.He was averaging a td per game)
and we scored 288 points a difference of 269 points or 38.42 touchdowns LESS than New England

38.42 touch downs is a lot of points to make up

I doubt no matter who we draft or bring in we won't be scoring 557 points

No way TE is a luxury pick. Also, WR if addressed through FA, opens up that 12 pick to take the BPA. As has been mentioned several times, 5-25, is all about the same as for rating players.

I'd take Eifert in a heart beat. How Fasano is considered acceptable is beyond my comprehension.

TE is definitely a luxury pick when you are talking about the 12 pick. Now that 2a pick, it's game on.

I'm not saying that Fasano is "acceptable" or anything else. But the fact is, the Dolphins are rumored to make a serious attempt to re-sign Fasano. IF that happens, then yes, TE is a luxury pick in the draft.

Even if he is not re-signed, a #1 WR is still a far greater need for the Miami Dolphins rather than a TE assuming we don't address this in free agency. Even if we do, I'd rather have Patterson at #12 over Eifert. Eifert is a nice player...but he's not worth the #12 overall pick and nothing he does at the combine will make him worth the #12 pick overall. The draft is all about getting value. There isn't any value in Eifert at #12.

I agree he is not worth the #12 pick.

FWIW; Eifert's 40 > Ertz's 40

p.s. I'd prefer Toilolo to Ertz.
