    Question on cap space 2013/2014

If we let long , bush ,smith ,Marshall ,cog and
hartline walk how much more cap space do we get
From the 46 M we already have.

    Curious to know.
i feel some of these guys are over paid losing players.
we need some winners to compliment this team.

Long, Bush, Smith and Hartline are free agents. They don't have salaries counting against the cap.

The other two might free up an additional 9-10 million.

Dont expect anything happening in this regard until after the draft and waiting until preseason. Any trades with someone like Incog will be before the season starts and will be for a pick in 2014.

One thing to keep in mind, a free agent means that the player's contract has expired, meaning the team is no longer bound to that player. That player is free to go. If those players aren't signed to an entirely new contract, they aren't a member of the team.

We may consider Brian Hartline and Sean Smith to be Dolphins, but at this point in time, they are not members of this team.

Yes they are. They are still contractually bound to the Dolphins until the start of the new league year, and Miami is the only team that can sign them until free agency begins.
