Its not gonna happen. He will sign with somebody that gives him a legitimate shot at being the starter. At his age, and being relatively healthy, I wouldn't blame him for wanting a shot at starting somewhere.

If you take Joe flacco out of the equation he is the best fa qb available. There are plenty of teams that should be willing to give him a shot to start and a salary of around five million a year. If Chad henne got 2 yrs 10 million Matt Moore should be able to top that

Too bad we didn't roll with Moore last year and give Tanny some rest. Oh well

Matt Moore is a darn good backup, so id love to see him stay. But reality is, he can start. He can go to Cleveland, Arizona, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and probably start. Which means we would desperately need a backup QB, since it seems like nobody is high on Pat Devlin. Pulling a Redskins, and drafting a QB in the 3rd-5th round is not a bad idea.

That's news to me that no one likes Devlin. I believe Coach Philbin is high on him.

Is Tampa not happy with Josh Freeman? I didn't see that anywhere

If he goes, it will cool to watch him play for whomever he goes to. The short time he was here, he gave us a spark when we needed it, and the way he handled himself after being made the back up to RT, was fantastic. I think most of us will have some sort of a sentimental feeling towards him.. Unless he's playing against us, of course!!

"I have seen how much the fans in South Florida care about the Dolphins, and that passion is one reason why I’m really excited to be here. I’m looking forward to their support, and I can’t wait to get started." -Coach Philbin

I've been a Devlin fan since Joe Philbin was in the picture. But still, you are talking a UDFA with no real game experience as your primary backup when you had a proven veteran backup in Matt Moore who by all reports has been a great teammate and has helped Tannehill through these early stages of his career. Miami obviously would love him back . . . in today's game a backup QB is very important . . . however I think they will end up with Devlin and a veteran (Garrard is an option if that relationship isn't sour and he's willing to be a backup) to backup RT. Matt Moore can compete for a starting job and make a few extra bucks also somewhere else.
