I'd say we're all idiots....but not jerk idiots
remember you have to spend 95% of the cap...this isnt baseball, you have to spend it...we arent going to spend it all on draft picks so we may as well try some FAs...even if we just spent the 95% and have a little money to play with next year...
Waiting on the Fins and their fans to realize you need to score points to win the games. Draft OFFENSE not defense.I miss RICKY (his

was the best!)
Well..... I know I'm an idiot most of the time, but sometimes I see value. I see less than zero value in Mike Wallace, and I see a lot of value in Desmond Bryant and Keenan Lewis.

A good GM could sign both Lewis and Bryant for about the same as a bad GM could sign Wallace.
Chris Clemons, Anthony Fasano good value. Here's a value guy. Evan Dietrich-Smith G/C from Packers. Could unseat Jerry as starter.
unfortunately you don't get value for the top prospects in free agency. you are actually going to have to pay a premium to get them (ie: more than they are actually worth), because there are multiple parties vying for their services. sure, there are plenty of values in free agency, but it isn't the top player or two at each position. that is what sucks about the entire situation. if ireland wants to go out and bring in a top free agent, he will have to overpay for him, otherwise he is going to another team (also willing to overpay). it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. financially it only really makes sense to overpay for a big free agent if you feel that guy is going to put you over the hump (win the division, super bowl aspirations, yadda yadda). but as fans, we want shiny toys for our young QB to throw to, and possibly get us a couple more wins to put us in solid playoff contention. totally doesn't make financial sense, and that is even IF the free agent stays healthy and produces at the level you hope. free agency is what it is.

Value free agents include J.Bushrod tackle Saints,M.jenkins cb Dallas,M.Bennet d.e. tampa and possibly C.Barwin olb Texans. Spend money on J.Byrd if not franchised,A.Levitre guard Bills. or S.Vollmer tackle Pats
The value is in the draft. Since the rookie cap thang, its a whole diff ball game. We have picks. Ireland likely to get more so yeah, I think we spend big money on WR and then shut it down after we sign our own guys whoever that may be.

In Free Agency, I'm of the opinion that you address need positions mostly with mid-level guys. My ideal additions would be:
T Barry Richardson
WR Domenik Hixon
DE Wallace Gilberry - very underrated, could probably start for us (backup in CIN), or a great rotation guy.
CB Keenan Lewis (the high-level guy who is absolutely my top FA)
maybe CB DJ Moore.
I would be thrilled with 3 or 4 of them.
