Here we go again... My guess this move by Pats was done by Brady himself. I can see it now, Wallace, Jennings, Harvin or Bowe in New England. Open up the cap space to stick it to us again. We will end up with washed up Welker. They always seem a step ahead of us and for that matter the entire AFC East. Bush will end up there as well. "Hi Mike and Greg would you like Ryan or Tom throwing you the ball the next 3 years?" We will be second in line....
ummm pretty sure welker signing a 5 year deal for 40 million to stay in new england.

I wonder now, when Welker sits on the bench and looks across the field, what team he dreams of playing for now?

I can see it now; Wallace blows by Sean Smith who we tagged.

Said a litttle tongue in cheek but sadly not all that far fetched.

I agree with Dolfanerie, a big mokey wrench on the Dolphins plans they will sign one of the big receivers wait and see.

    I hate the Pats

If any of those WRs go to New England we can kiss the playoffs goodbye. At least until Brady and Belicheck die.

RE: Pats always a step ahead...FA receivers the target.

When do the pats overpay for a player? Because that's exactly what they would have to do in order to obtain Wallace. So if they want a WR its prob going to be Jennings or a resigned Welker ( unlikely ). I'm not afraid of them signing top WR FA..

I don't know why any of you are surprised by the "Brady restructured deal." This is the oldest trick in the book. I am sure John Elway was promised a future job as the team's VP, in order to take less money from their owner (Pat Bowlen). There are many ways to compensate players besides straight out cash. I know Bowlen wanted John Elway to own shares of the team...I am not sure whether Elway is a part owner or not, but these NFL owners have the smartest lawyers and financial experts working for them. It's easy to set up a secret offshore account or a Swiss Bank account so an owner can pay a guy like Tom Brady on the side. The Krafts are always inviting Roger Goodell and the top NFL execs to sit in their private suites at Gillette Stadium. You think Goodell is going to do anything about this "shifty" deal???
