We can't afford to throw any D-lineman away. We need DE's as it is.

I don't get why people want to trade players just to trade them... And do what? draft a middle round rookie and expect him to start or back up a one year player in Vernon??

"The dolphins, which had been cavorting in the surf all along, showed up then. They circled him, keeping the shark at bay, and enabled Endris to get back on his board and catch a wave to the shore."
Dolphins even keep Sharks in check!

because he is not a true 4-3 DE and we need more pass rush coming from that side, its really not to hard to figure out.

He played good last year.. He seemed fine in our Defensive scheme.

We have so many holes why create more for no reason at all?

the most bang for miamis buck with odrick this year is put him in a rotation at de (mostly run downs and distances) and shift him inside in the nickle...and if you get an injury to solia or starks you have a step in starter and proper fit as a 43 dt...i would not ask him to lose a bunch of weight to play end...
hoops scoops...prospects mia should target top 4 rounds 2013 draft...

HORRIBLE decision. If we add a DE he can still start at Nickel DT for Solaia. Nickel is on the field well over 50% of the game.

I'd still kick him inside with the Soliai and Starks contracts expiring. He was extremely ineffective on the end and think he's really out of position there.

Ireland stated one of his goals for this offseason was to improve the push up the middle. To me, this would seem to indicate that they'd look for a DE and move Odrick inside, not to the trade market. If anyone might be on the market, my money would be on Soliai.

Odrick is a solid rotation guy who will be difficult to trade at this point in time, not likely to get good value.

I though all along that if Starks was allowed to walk then we could easily kick Odrick inside to replace him. But now that starks has been tagged I think our best bet would be to see if we can find an interested team that runs a 3-4 and maybe we can get a 3rd-5th round pick for odrick. Then we can maybe sign a true 4-3 DE or draft one like dion jordan or something. What u guys think?
If we can get something quality in return than definitely. But I doubt we will.
We should just move him inside as a 4-3 DT. His natural position imho.
We will have an amazing 3 man rotation at DT with Soliai, Starks, and Odrick.

Plus with Starks being tagged, might as well see what Odrick can do there this year.
Imho Odrick has no business playing a 4-3 DE in the nfl, he's been real out of place.

We only have Starks for one year now, and Odrick has never been at his natural position for us, I think it's perfect timing to move him to DT this year and see how he does.
I think he's got some real potential.

I think they will just leave him at 4-3 DE where he was last year and look to add a 3rd down pass rush specialist. He will probably kick inside on passing downs as well. Thats what I would do. Starks and Big Paul are both going to be FA next year as of now so keeping Odrick around is pretty important IMO.
