    Listed under bargains

    Donald Thomas, G:
The Patriots will miss Thomas if he leaves — he stepped in and started seven games last season, after fighting for his roster spot during camp. He’s an athletic interior lineman, so he might appeal to teams that utilize some zone-read principles.

Thoughts on bringing Donald back. Maybe the coaching here held him back ( ya think

When we were playing the Pats last Fall, and Thomas was on the field you couldn't help but think it would have been great for him to stick around and see if Philbin and co. couldn't get something out of him in their system as athletic as he is. I'd be more than happy for us to bring him in as a back-up guard and see if he can unseat one of our starters that aren't exactly ZBS prototypes. Good catch.

i think he might be much better than say John Jerry in the zone scheme we run. i remember he was very raw but strong as hell and dominated when he first got here. Seem to get worst not better here. Went on to be a stater at New England. Maybe worth a look.

There's a lot of great guards. He's one that is certainly a decent option. My first choice is still Brandon Moore, probably cost a couple mil more tho but well worth the investment to solidify RG.

Is he any good? The Jets O line was terrible last year after being their strength for so long.

I think brandon Gibson will be a bargain for whatever team gets him.
Go Finz, Brad K #2, Monmouth College, WIU, and the STL Cardinals. "I'm such a baby, yeah, the Dolphins make me cry."

One other plus on Thomas is he's still relatively young and healthy. He'd come relatively cheap, and we can bet we wouldn't be getting another broken down Artis Hicks.

I'd slide Jerry out to tackle and get one of these guys plus a high pick rookie G/T to boot.

Now that we have a QB we've got to protect him.

I dont think Moore is really any better than Jerry. Thomas I believe is better than both of them. SS is probably the biggest bust FA CB on the market. Much potential that will never be realized (just like VD), extremely and I mean extremely immature, and plays scared half of the time. If it werent for his size he would not be in the league.
I believe any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle...Victorious

Obviously I don't waste my time watching the Jets every weekend (god what a terrible life that'd be) but Moore over the last couple years has graded out as one of the better interior linemen in both pass blocking and most importantly run blocking where he is a bull. For 4-5 a year he's a great investment IMO.
