News2 Schefter: Dolphins are the team to beat for Mike Wallace

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed on SportsCenter Wednesday that the Dolphins are viewed as the favorites to land free agent Mike Wallace.

This has been the worst-kept secret of 2013 free agency. "A lot of people around the league believe that the Miami Dolphins are poised to make a major run at a player who many regard as the No. 1 free agent available," said Schefter, adding that the Dolphins are "desperate" for speed to surround Ryan Tannehill. "... A lot of people around the league believe the Dolphins are the team to beat."

Who are these people? I haven't heard one word coming from Miami as to which free agent they prefer over the other... Smokescreen
"The dolphins, which had been cavorting in the surf all along, showed up then. They circled him, keeping the shark at bay, and enabled Endris to get back on his board and catch a wave to the shore."
Dolphins even keep Sharks in check!

Adam Schefter: same guy that said we were front runners for Manning and we were about to land Jeff Fisher.

Nice to hear but I'll celebrate when an official announcement is made. Call it cautious optimism.

This should include team sources, various media markets, and other NFL personnel ppl. Tannehill is coming off his rookie season. Wallace is 26 years old. They are looking to give him his speedster to grow with. And he already has a great route runner to throw to as his possession guy in Hartline. I would actually fall off my chair and convulse in shock if Wallace isn't the guy we go "gungho" for...

I think he meant to say "Miami Dolphins is the easiest team to beat."
