your crazy my friend Jake Long hasnt been top 5 tackle since rookie year.A left tackles worth isnt what it was 5yrs ago.Hes not worth half what he is asking,and really another vontae complaint?He had horrible work ethic,showed no signs of improvement from year to year.Was total waste of a pick,glad we got what we did for him.He routinely got beat like a fat kid in dodgeball by average wrs

Vontae is a whole other topic of a player that was 100% overrated by its fanbase while the FO upgraded the team by subtracting a bad player. We got GREAT value for Vontae and JM at the minimum is just as good as JL, as a rookie, which is much cheaper, so theres an upgrade. I bet those who think it was a bad idea to trade Vontae agree with him that Vontae and SS were the NFL's best CB tandem last year.

See, everyone sees it, aside from a few biased Dolfans (understandable unfortunately). He isnt even close to elite anymore. Hasnt been for 2 years. Ill bet he doesnt get anymore than single digits from someone. With that being said, thankfully I dont see Ireland resigning him for anything. There is no difference in paying a bad player 6 million or 10 million as they are still a bad player.

According to Profootballtalk.com, there is "little or no chatter in league circles" about any team making a major push for free agent LT Jake Long.
"Some" NFL teams reportedly believe Long needs to play right tackle instead of left, which would severely diminish his market value. Long is also coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons. Our gut feeling all along has been that Long will wind up re-signing with the Dolphins on a deal worth significantly less than he's seeking.
