So far we have locked down a pro bowl DT, a productive WR and the best backup QB in the NFL and we still have around 32 million in cap space.
6 million needs to be set aside to sign the draft class. This leaves over 25 million to sign a WR, a tight end and a CB. We can then look at positions like tackle or safety in the draft if we want.
We can also save cap space (4.5 million each) by cutting an existing player like Marshall or Patterson. If we plan to take a kicker in the draft Carpenter could also be a potential cap casualty. We have access to enough money to get just about anybody we want.
Some of you may think we are paying too much for Hartline or Moore but at the end of the day neither signing reduces our options and both have reduced cap hits this season. And we only have a handful of long term contracts on the roster so we dont need to worry about next year.
So far so good Jeff..... now go get Cook and Wallace.
