Ireland is doing a damn good job at keeping his mouth shut with all this Wallace speculation going on, and he only needs to do it for 56 more minutes. He has the biggest boner for Wallace out of anyone in the room, I know I couldn't keep my mouth shut. He's doing great.

The goal is to set the expectations for Wallace, get the fanbase hyped up, and then deliver on those expectations. Bullseye!

Can anybody tell me what the advantage was in telling everybody in the world what our intentions were?? WTH??

Didn't Ireland ever watch The Godfather.

"Never let anyone outside the family know what you are thinking."

Just seems like a stupid position to put yourself in.

Wouldn't it be better to blow some smoke around and come at these things from a clandestine vantage point.

    What was Ireland craving attention?

Can't this guy do anything discreetly with some tact, or is all about him blurting crap out like, " so your mom is a crack whore?"

I don't trust this guy to sell popcorn at the games.

    Am I wrong? If so,Why?
Simple, this is the official NFL Lying period and El Jeffe is doing his part...if we believe 10% of what comes out in the media and nothing of what comes out of GMs this time of year, you just might get some useful info....

I haven't heard Ireland say a thing. Merely a bunch of unnamed sourced, by way of sports writers...

We just finished up a 3 day period of agents being able to contact teams. What intentions is he hiding? Is there some team out there that couldn't make an educated guess we'd go after one of the top receivers available? If I'm the Vikings (or any team) and I want Wallace, do you think I really give a rat's ass what Jeff's thinking?

Ever occur to you that he may be lying? By the way, I'm glad you don't feel the same way about me as you do Ireland. All that negative stuff would probably drive me to commit suicide

If the FO really wants Wallace its good for them to leak that intention. Not many other teams can spend that money so they will start to look elsewhere. Its like getting a hand in poker and having your eyes open wide - everyone else will fold. He then gets to go one on one with Wallace's agent. If he wants Wallace this is a cool way of getting out of a bidding war.

If I were an octopus, I'd give this thread "8 thumbs down!"
