ASSISTANT COACH STEVE HOFFMAN TO JOIN CHIEFS STAFF

Steve Hoffman

Dolphins assistant coach Steve Hoffman will be leaving the team to take a position on Todd Haley's coaching staff with the Kansas City Chiefs. His new role with the Chiefs has yet to be announced.

Hoffman joined the Dolphins coaching staff in 2007 under then head coach, Cam Cameron and served as the teams' Assistant Special Teams coach under Special Teams Coordinator Keith Armstrong. Hoffman was retained for the 2008 season under head coach Tony Sparano and was re-assigned as the Kicking coach under Special Teams Coordinator John Bonamego.

It was not immediately known whether the Dolphins will hire another coach to replace Hoffman on the coaching staff.
