Report: Dolphins Would Like To Trade Down PDF Print E-mail

DOLPHINS SHOPPING 12TH OVERALL PICK

 Jeff Ireland and Bill Parcells

According to Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post and The NFL Network, he is hearing talk around the league that the Dolphins are interested in moving down in the draft to try and acquire more picks in later rounds.

This news should not come as a major shock, as this year's draft is considered to be one of the deepest drafts in years, so having as many picks as possible is likely to be the thought of many teams throughout the league. If Miami were able to move the 12th overall selection and fall to around 18-20, they should be able to add an additional second round pick and perhaps a fifth or sixth round selection.

There is no guarantee Miami will find a trade partner, but they are letting the rest of the league know, that if they need a trade partner to move up with, they are listening.
