THE BEAST REMAINS IN THE CAGE As the first OTA practice open to the media began today, Dolphins fans couldn't wait to see the new face of the franchise take the field, run routes and catch passes from quarterback Chad Henne. Instead, fans, and the media were blindsided to learn that Marshall is out indefinitely as he is recovering from recent hip surgery. Head coach Tony Sparano called the surgery a "routine procedure", but let's face it, surgery is never not a big deal. Sparano was also hesitant to declare that Marshall would even be 100% when Training Camp roles around at the beginning of August. While it probably doesn't look like a big deal at first glance, it really is. Even if Marshall is 100% day one of Training Camp he is still going to miss all the OTA days and mini camp practices. That is a major blow to an offense and a young QB who needs to spend as much time as possible building chemistry with a new receiver. Marshall will officially be missing in action until August at the earliest and for a franchise that invested so much in him and to a fan base that couldn't wait to see him practice this is extremely disappointing news. Let's hope he heals fast and can put together a fourth consecutive 100+ catch season. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS!
