ALAMA-FRANCIS EARNS ONE YEAR EXTENSION
At the start of training camp, FinHeaven was hearing reports at how well the transition from defensive end to outside linebacker was going for Ikaika Alama-Francis. Initially there was even talk that Alama-Francis had a realistic shot at winning the starting job over rookie Koa Misi. Since then Misi has appeared to take control of the starting role, but that doesn't mean Alama-Francis still is not shining. In a move that almost guarantees Alama-Francis has made the 2010 roster, the team gave him a one year contract extension through 2011. Alama-Francis' contract extension will pay him $640,000 for the 2011 season. He will likely enter this season as the primary backup to Koa Misi. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS!
