BREAKING NEWS: JETS GAME MOVED TO 4:00PM _______________________________________________________________________ BRING ON THE JETS! Miami outlasts the Chiefs 38-31 to set up AFC East Showdown Ted Ginn scored Miami's first touchdown on a reverse Chad Pennington led the Miami Dolphins to their 10th win of the season as the Fins kept their playoffs hopes alive with a 38-31 win in frozen Kansas City. The Dolphins didn't make it easy on themselves as they let Tyler Thigpen to put up career numbers and the Chiefs made Miami fight for the full 60 minutes. But late in the fourth quarter when Miami needed it the defense made several stands and the Dolphins once again did just enough to win. But if you want to look for the reason the team won look no further than number 10. He was brilliant and futher proved he is worthy of MVP consideration. He made great throws and constantly found the open receiver all day. When plays had to be made Chad made them. When the Chiefs tried to change momentum there was Chad taking it back. On offense the team really looked solid and on a day when the defense looked horrible they carried this team. Also you have to give it up for Patrick Cobbs. He gave Miami great field position all day with terrific kick returns. He may not have break away speed but he proved he can read blocks and find the opening to get the ball upfield. As much as I want to further berate the defense I will pass for now because in the end we won. And as I often say in this column....that is all that matters.
