FINS ACQUIRE MCDANIEL FROM JAGS

 Tony McDaniel

The Dolphins and Jaguars on Thursday reached an agreement on a trade that will send Defensive End Tony McDaniel to Miami for a 7th round pick.

McDaniel, who was undrafted in 2006, spent all three of his NFL seasons in Jacksonville. The 6-7, 310 defensive end will likely compete with Lionel Dotson and Rodrique Wright for a backup defensive end position. McDaniel made three starts last year with the Jaguars and had 22 tackles and 0.5 sacks.

The Dolphins have three 7th round picks, their own, one they acquired from the Cleveland Browns for Travis Daniels and one they acquired from the Carolina Panthers for Josh McCown. It is not yet known which of these 7th round picks was sent to Jacksoville to complete the trade for McDaniel.
