Dolphins Make Roster Moves

While rumors swirled for the past few days about the Dolphins potentially making a major trade, nothing happened on that front before today's 4:00 PM trade deadline. However, the Dolphins did make a roster move on Tuesday, as they signed Offensive Tackle Lydon Murtha off the Detroit Lions' practice squad. To make room for the new addition, the team released second year Offensive Tackle Shawn Murphy.

Murtha, who was a 7th round pick by the Lions' in last April's draft, played college football for Nebraska. Murphy, was a 4th round selection by the Dolphins in the 2008 NFL draft.
