FINS PLAY TOUGH BUT FALL TO THE PATRIOTS NEW ENGLAND 27 MIAMI 17 Tom Brady was more than the Dolphin defense could handle This is a game that Miami was not supposed to win. If the Fins won on the road against New England it would mean they are better than we thought they would be. Well I think we fully see that there is a gap between the elite teams in the league and this Dolphin squad. This is not to say that Miami didn't play welll, because they gave the Patriots all they could handle. They scrapped and fought but in the end they just got beat by a better team. When the game got tight Brady had Moss and Welker. When the game got tight Henne had...well he really didn't have anyone. There was no answer for Miami as they just could not muster up the firepower to overtake New England who has Moss. All Moss did was make two spectacular plays which led to 14 of New Englands points. Bitter sweet was the Miami young secondary who at times looked brilliant and at other times just looked young. But they will get bettrer and I think Miami can feel great about their future. The negtives from the game has to be some of the play calling on offense. At times it was creative and brilliant, and at times it was baffling as the plays were border line ridiculous in their effort to be cute. I think it is a real stretch to call it good. I understand that when nothing is happening on offense and you need something to spark the offense. I don't understand watching perfectly good drives die because we decide to stop what is working and run two or three consecutive sandlot plays. And two more things about the coaching. Why punt with three and a half minutes left in the game? Your defense is not very strong and you have only one real chance to win. I don't get it. Also I have now twice seen Miami in the two minute offense basically run out the clock. I fully know we don't have a deep threat, but don't you have to try? I mean really I would rather see us go out with guns a blazing then running the clock out with runs and five yard passes. It makes no sense. But all that aside we played hard and we have some good young talent. But we just got beat by a better team today. Congratulations New England and we will see you in Miami. Talk About it in the FinHeaven Forums!
