RELEASE OF ROTH AMONG ROSTER MOVES

 Matt Roth

In what could be seen as a mild surprise, the Dolphins have released linebacker Matt Roth. Roth, a 2nd round pick in 2005, finished the 2008 season with 53 tackles and 5 sacks. He missed the Dolphins entire 2009 training camp with a groin injury and spent the first six weeks on PUP. Appearing in just four games this season, he record just 4 tackles and no sacks.

With the release of Matt Roth and the placing of nose tackle Jason Ferguson on IR, the Dolphins today signed cornerback Evan Oglesby and defensive end Ikeaika Alma-Francis.
