FINS GET THEIR STAR RECEIVER

                                  Trade for Brandon Marshall

On Friday the Miami Dolphins made their move. Just as a swell of unrest began in the fan base that perhaps the front office was not doing enough and the grumblings were rising...the Miami Dolphins pulled the trigger on the biggest deal since the Ricky Williams trade. They traded this year's 2d round draft pick and next year's 2nd round draft pick to the Denver Broncos for elite Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall is widely regard as one of the top three receivers in the NFL and brings an instant home run threat to the team. The addition of that level of talent will open up the offense and contribute to the development of rising young QB Chad Henne.

Of course not all moves are without drawbacks. Marshall comes with a ton of baggage having been suspended once for beating up his girlfriend and at constant odds with the team until falling enouh out of favor to end the season on the bench. One can only imagine that new Defensive Coordinator Mike Nolan was consulted an gave Marshall a good report card to Fins football brass. So as far as this fan can tell this was a brilliant move for the team and now really solidifies the passing game.
