CARPENTER SIGNS THREE YEAR EXTENSION

 Dan Carpenter

While the start of training camp is only a few days away, the Dolphins are busy trying to sign their remaining unsigned draft picks. The Dolphins did find some time in their busy schedules to sign Pro Bowl kicker Dan Carpenter to a three year extension. Carpenter is now under contract with the team through the end of the 2013 season.

With the extension for Carpenter, the Dolphins took care of their three main special teams players this summer. On June 18th, the team gave punter Brandon Fields a two year extension through the end of the 2012 season and gave long snapper John Denney a three year extension through the end of 2013.
