DESPITE REPORTS, WHITE APPEARS TO BE FINE
When the Dolphins opened training camp, one of the biggest names being talked about was backup quarterback Pat White. Not because of what he was doing on the field, but because he was nowhere to be seen. Tony Sparano would not comment on the matter and White himself would not talk about the situation. Dolphin fans and media outlets started speculating about why White missed the first day of training camp. Was there a family emergency? Was he hurt? Was he released by the team? Was the team keeping him away in an attempt to trade him? Did the itch to return to baseball cause him to leave the NFL completely? All speculation, because no one could find out the true answer. The Sun-Sentinel during the late hours of the night posted an article claiming that White had a serious non-football realted issue. The paper even went as far to say that White's training camp is over and would likely miss the entire 2010 season. Reports then started to surface that Miami was set to bring in former Utah quarterback and current AFL quarterback Tommy Grady for a tryout on Monday. The last part about Grady could still happen. It appeared that White's season was over and that his career in Miami was over. Apparently though, somebody forgot to tell Pat White and the Dolphins. The second year quarterback from West Virginia showed up to Training Camp on Saturday and practiced. He even signed autographs afterwards. While White may still be dealing with some personal issues, it appears his time in Miami is not over and that he will be with the Dolphins for 2010. Things can obviously change, but appears some media outlets jumped the gun or need to find some better sources. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS!
