Sheets Out For Year; Wallace Quits PDF Print E-mail
Written by Josh Evans

KORY SHEETS SUFFERS TORN ACHILLES

Kory Sheets

What is becoming a disturbing trend, the Dolphins concluded another training camp practice, and another player suffered a season ending injury. First projected starting defensive end Phillip Merling tore his Achilles' tendon on the eve of training camp, yesterday rookie linebacker A.J. Edds tore his ACL and today running back/kick return specialist Kory Sheets suffered a torn Achilles' tendon and will miss the entire 2010 season.

While Dolphin players seem to be dropping like flies to season ending injuries, some players just decide they can't handle a Tony Sparano training camp. Undrafted rookie cornerback A.J. Wallace, who attended Penn State, decided to quit the team.

With the latest injuries to the team, the Dolphins currently will have three roster spaces on the team. Phillip Merling will count towards the 80 man roster until the start of the regular season. In the coming days, the Dolphins should be signing three new faces, assuming there are no more season ending injuries.
