Dolphins Sign Kevin Hobbs; Make Other Roster Moves PDF Print E-mail
Written by Josh Evans

DOLPHINS MAKE SEVERAL MOVES

Kevin Hobbs

The Dolphins have been hit by the injury bug during this year's training camp and as a result were forced to make several moves today. Evan Oglesby, who suffered an ankle injury on Tuesday, saw his season come to and end as the Dolphins placed the cornerback on Injured Reserve. The Dolphins also terminated the contract of wide reciever Taurus Johnson.

The Dolphins did not stop there as they re-signed offensive guard Ray Feinga, who was cut by the team the night before the start of training camp, and signed free agent cornerback Kevin Hobbs. Hobbs joins the team after spending last season with the Detroit Lions. Hobbs during his NFL career has also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons. While Hobbs initially was signed to take the training camp roster spot of Oglesby, his role could become much bigger with the uncertainty surrounding Will Allen's knee. Allen on Thursday was sent to see a knee specialist as he is still experiencing pain from his ACL surgery last fall.
