Ikaika Alama-Francis Gets One Year Contract Extension PDF Print E-mail
Written by Josh Evans

ALAMA-FRANCIS EARNS ONE YEAR EXTENSION

Ikaika Alama-Francis

At the start of training camp, FinHeaven was hearing reports at how well the transition from defensive end to outside linebacker was going for Ikaika Alama-Francis. Initially there was even talk that Alama-Francis had a realistic shot at winning the starting job over rookie Koa Misi. Since then Misi has appeared to take control of the starting role, but that doesn't mean Alama-Francis still is not shining. In a move that almost guarantees Alama-Francis has made the 2010 roster, the team gave him a one year contract extension through 2011.

Alama-Francis' contract extension will pay him $640,000 for the 2011 season. He will likely enter this season as the primary backup to Koa Misi.
